Default Saito Fc 14 Gas Engine

I have a Saito 100 glow engine and I replaced the muffler with a straight stainless steel pipe. I kept the 90 degree elbow that came with the motor and drilled and tapped a barbed fitting for fuel tank pressure. This setup has worked great and is not loud. It also has not affected performance at all.

I am looking to purchase the new line of Saito gas engines and I am wondering can I duplicate the same setup on the gasoline engine? Do the gas engines need a pressure line? Would the straight pipe be an issue? Would it perfect performance?

Thanks,

Rye

Four stroke gas or glow engines are not sensitive to muffler back pressure like a two stroke engine.

The gas version does not use muffler pressure at all.
