Default 40 size gas engine

Just one question is there a gasoline engine with a foot print similar to that of a OS 61fx? If so where do I get one?

You might want to talk to Horizon. They handle OS and also Saito and Saito has a 11CC gas that supposedly uses the SA61 platform. If that OS61FX has a rear needle valve you might have enough clearance for a rear carburetor engine.

I would look at the OS15GT. It's a little pricey but it is a beam mount front carb.

NV makes a GX 40RC gas engine - uses Castor lube and gas @ 14% mix. 11 x 6 @ 11,000 rpm, 10 x 7 - 12.25 x 3.75 recommended. 62mm crankshaft centerline to top of head, 82mm backplate to prop hub, 43mm x 17mm mount. Glow ignition like OS GGT series (turbo glow plug). www.nvengines.com

If you like to "tinker" with engines (I don't - and have more engines than I'll ever use), I'd sell one pretty cheap.
