Default DLE 55 and ww2 3 blade prop

Hi,
I'm flying a top flite Corsair with a DLE 55. I currently use a Xoar 23x8 2 blade WW2 prop. It flies fast enough for me on this prop and slows down nicely for landing with the 8 pitch.
I’m considering going to either a Falcon or Xoar 3 blade WW2 prop.
I’m curious if the DLE will handle the 22x8 or 22x10 3 blade prop. The cowl is so large I’m just not sold on the looks of a 20” prop.
Opinions please.
Thanks,
John

I would use the 2 blade 23 x 8 or the 22 x 10 (22 x 10 for higher speed runs).

Make a 3 or 4 blade scale prop for display only.

+1, the 55 doesn't have enough power to turn a 3 blade prop the size you would like to see on your airframe. A flying prop and display prop is the best solution to the problem.

A 55 can’t throw a 22” 3 blade prop?
I wasn’t aware of that. I figured it may be able to throw the 22x8.
Thanks for the info.

22-8, 22-10, 23-8 are common 2 blade sizes for 50 -55 sized engines. Add some pitch and reduce diameter for more speed. A 55 will certainly turn more prop but at an RPM level that will be well below what is ideal.

I went with the Falcon 21x10x3 ww2 prop and couldn’t be happier. The Corsair flies faster than it did on the Xoar 23x8x2.
i fly at 1/2 throttle most of the time.
Braking for landing is great too.
