RCGF Stinger 35RE
#1

After a break of a few years, I'm back in the hobby.
I got a new Stinger 35RE from a colleague.
It is an original from the US dealer and was shipped in July 2020.
Initially, I couldn't get the engine to run and assume that my predecessor was messing with the carburetor needles.
After I had set the needles H=1.5 and L=1.4 turns according to the instructions for use, the motor started,
but it didn't reach rpm,s!
I had to close the H needle until it was only half a turn open.
Can this be?
The engine manual says the carburetor needle setting is 1.5 turns and I am now open at only 1/2 turn.
I'm afraid of damaging the engine.
My conditions: asl 5400ft, temperature 80F, mixture 32:1 Stihl Oel with Prop. Falcon wood 19x8, 6400 rpm reached.
Does anyone have any advice, please

My advice is to take the engine to a ocean beach and see how it runs at sea level, dry air and 30 inches of mercury.
I am sorry I could not resit having a little fun.
Only others who have worked at your altitude really know about what is right, but, It sounds close to me.
