G 45 good for anything??
Hi, I have an opportunity to purchase a like new Zenoah G45. Is there a good Extra. Cap, Edge,etc. that would work well for this engine. I am looking for a 3-d setup. Or should I pay more and just get a lighter gasser such as a ZDZ or DA. The price is right for the G45 but it is quite a bit heavier. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bass1

Slap an electronic ignition on it and put it in a World Models 160 size Extra 300S.
I think the Zenoah engines are too heavy to be a real aerobatic performance engine with the factory setup. If it has a spring starter-- get rid of it. You won't need it with electronic ignition.

I kind of thought that would be the answer. By the time I put an electronic ignition on it, the price I would be paying for the package wouldn't justify the purchase. I guess I'll save my money and get a nice light weight gasser with included E.I.

I have a Sig Sukhoi with the G-45 in it, and it is wonderful for my type of sport tumbling around. Plenty of power.............
