Default Brison 4.2 which prop?

Just finished m Carden 30% Extra with a Brison 4.2 for power.
Started engine yesteray with a 3W 24x10 and engine would only tach at 5,000 RPM. After several carb. adjustments still could not get any higher RPM.
Finnally tried a Pro Zinger 22x10 and the engine came to life with 6,500 RPM.
Is the 3w too much prop?
I have heard from several that the 24x10 was the perfect prop for this engine.
If you have a 4.2, what prop works best?
Thanks for any replies

I use either a 24/10 or 22/12 prozinger at 6500 rpm with either prop.

Mine spins a carbon fiber 22 x 10 at 7,200 but is still on the break in circuit.

Default Thanks Randy

Maybe the 3w prop is too wide.

Default RE: Thanks Randy

Just ordered A Menz S 24x8 for my 4.2 Brison. Will let you know how it does in my CompARF Extra. I thought Zingers are for stirring paint!

I used to run a Menz S 24X10 on mine. I never put a tach on it but it hauled my 24 lb Ohio Cap around with power to spare.

I wonder if the OP is still trying to find the right prop after 11 years? Still a good engine, though.
