RE: Ok to run Avgas.....
Works fine, smells better...Costs more...Has a little lead in it to lube the valve seats...
We have gotten spoiled with the no lead fuel..How did we EVER get along before " big brother" took all the lead out of the gas ?

I was wondering if its ok to run Avgas 100LL (Blue) in twin gas engines? I have heard some say its ok too and some say its not ok ? So I thought I would ask on here to see if anyone else runs Avgas in their gas engines?
Thanks

It provides no advantages and it costs more. Why bother?

Most people that run avgas do not worry about the money but the odor, or lack of it. You also need to check with the engine manufacturer, some recommend against it and you might void your warranty.

I did think of an advantage.
A good friend of mine is an avgas fan. He likes it because it doesn't go stale as quickly as automobile gasoline. I guess that is an advantage.

I use it all the time. I have a Cessna 182 so I just use what I drain out of the wing tanks when I want to go RC `ing. Works fine. and no lingering smell of auto gas around my shop.
