Default Pls share pic of your servo/throttle linkage on G26 or similar

Hi all

Just got my first gasser Zenoah G26 to go into my GP PT19. The throttle link up is not the usual Glow type but a metal ear with lots of hole for a particular angle of connection/linkage.

I will mount it inverted so I like to see some ideas or picture as reference for me to work on the mounting and installation.

Thanks in advance for the helps.

This is not your plane but the linkage is the same.

This is a Central Hobbies 2-56 carbon fiber rod with titanium ends. JB Weld is used to glue the ends on. Use 2-56 ball ends on both sides for a slop free, bind free throttle linkage. I like the CF rod setup because it's stiff and strong and you can cut it to a precise custom length (no z bends). The throttle servo is a Hitech 5245 mini digital using the stock aluminum arm that comes with the servo.

I spent a lot of time trying to see the best setup to connect the throttle linkage to my evolution 26GT. All I did was I placed a peace of flat alluminium bolted on the carb throttle arm so that I extended the length without complicating things and using ball linkages and good quality plastic snakes .

I found it very difficult to attach the small bolts to the throttle arm but things get easy when you dismantle the carb and remove the throttle arm out of the carb

Contact RCIGN1 here on RCU or his web site rcignitions.com.. buy a carb rotation block from him and toss all those bell-cranks and other related garbage. Better yet, have him do a converstion to electronic ignition and save a pound of weight off of the engine.

That big servo arm on your carb, I take it that is your choke? How you access it for starting or you just cut a hole in your cowl and poke your finger to flip it? So with that conversion, your throttle linkage on the same side as choke lever?

And Thanks to all others for the great input and sharing thus far.

You could put the choke arm on either side. Actually that is a nose wheel steering arm drilled out to fit. I just put my finger thru the front of the cowl to turn the choke off and on, no cutting holes. I usually use a servo, but wanted the plane to be as light as possible.
