I run all my engines, BME 50, DA 100, and conversions @ 50:1 break-in and synthetic Amsoil Dominator after break-in.

Pick a high quality synthetic oil. Pick one that is from a manufacturer that is always easily and locally available and does not require special ordering. Mix it at 50-1 and go fly. When you get some time behind you start experimenting if you have the desire. There is quite a bit of latitude in mix ratios for those that understand how things work. Forget all the instructions for using ashless and dyno based oils at dense oil ratios. You want to break the engine in, and the best way to do that is by flying it.

Run either 50:1 or 32:1 it doesn't matter so long as the oil is specified at that ratio.
