I am going to get both the A spec 26cc for a CG Sukhoi and the A spec 50cc for a 27% Cap.
I will let you all know how they work out.

I dunno how fast my sv26 revs the prop, but I have 5.2kg static thrust with 17X8 cherry 4$ prop. I think this props are not the best, and anyone else has tested it?
my engione has about 3 liters through it and oil ratio is 25:1

With a little work my SV-26 is now turning a APC 17x8 prop at 7500RPM. That is almost 14lbs of thrust. I am using penzoil for air cooled 2 cycle engines at 40 to 1. I am very pleased with this little engine.

My CRRC Pro GF26I can turn a Xoar 17 X 8 @ 7500 rpm which on my digital scale it is 11 lbs. 5 oz.
The APC may built more thrust

My digital fish scale my be off some, but if it is it is not off by much. Here is a excell speedsheet you can use to calculate prop thrust on many different type of props. It is from Pe Rivers who works with MVVS engines in europe. It is always very close to the true thrust results. Have a look, I think you'll like it. According to this spreadsheet a APC 17x8 prop at 7500RPM is creating 13+ lbs of thurst. So my digital fish scale is off almost 1 lb[&o]

I had my friend take a short video of my SV26 in action today. Just a short demo of start to land. I still don't have the new muffler yet, so it sounds a bit crackley, but she's running A1 !

Hey, I called Hobby City at 7:15 my time, and spoke with a nice gal who had an english or austrialian accent. I told her of our SV50 broken ears woe's, and she said there was a bad batch out there, and that in about 15 days they were going to receive a shipment of replacment rear CC halves, and that they would send us one as soon as they arrive. She said we should have it in about 30 days, or a little less. Were very pleased with the service at this point, and the time factor is not a problem for us. Were going to be ordering alot more goodies from them in the future. Thank you Hobby City !

You may as well just order one of each now, and save yourself years of shipping charges.

Here's a clip from todays follies. It was kinda windy, but that just made the landing more fun !

Dennis, Ive got the xy 26cc A spec engine on the way. I'm thinking of the not so 1/4 scale cmp 91" cub. It looks good. It should be a great Sunday flyer! I really want to try it in a cmp 120 size Zero. I just can't seem to get away from the warbirds. Can't decide. We'll see. Does anyone else have one of these motors in a warbird?

Im the same way about old biplanes since Greg got me into them back in 2003. My first tail dragger was a Super Sportster, but it just didn't do it for me. Then My elmer (Greg) talked me into gettin a Kyosho Super Stearman 40, and I put a Saito 72 on it, and have been flying it for almost 6 years now ? Naturally, when we found the SV26's, and I needed a proper plane for it, it was hands down in favor of the big Stearman. I can't really explain it, I just feel connected to them in some way, like some guys love Harley's. That A spec 26 must really be something if it's a better version of my 26, because my SV26 has been nothing but awesome so far. Im going to be flying this Stearman almost expressly, so if the SV26 has any issues, i'll find em. Im still waiting for my SPE muffler by the way, but as soon as it comes, i'll post an undate about the fit. $25.00 and free shipping from BCMA, not bad.
I'd sure like to see more video's of other SV's in the air, hint hint...

Yeah, I am... "N6UGY". I thought since my pal Greg taught me to fly, that made him my elmer. I dunno, it sounded better than "that the dude who taught me to fly". Who da heck is elmer anyway ? I know he makes some fine glue. lol
Im gettin ready to go flying in about an hour or so. It looks very calm today. Oh boy !

I have a video of my maiden flight of the Stinson and SV-26 being made right now. A friend of mine was at the field today with his camera and he took some video. He should have it ready tomorrow for me to post. The SV-26 started and ran like a dream today. More power than I needed, but it is a perfect engine for this CG Stinson. I'll post the video as soon a sI can.

Cool ! I can't wait. We just got Andre's SV26 runnin good tonight. It was too fat on the bottom, and didn't want to accellerate from idle even when it was warm, until it cleaned out. He had a few real long, not so straight take off's tonight. He finally leaned the bottom an eight turn, and now it's getting with the program. One of the guys (Eric) just got his XYZ A Spec, and brought it to the field tonight, and I must say, I was very impressed.

Well, yesterday I went to an RC swap meet and bought an SPE 26cc with the larger carb. It will go on my CG Sukhoi.
I sold a ton of stuff. So I will order my SV50cc for the big Cap232 tomorrow. I will put photos and videos on-line as I work through the projects. A friend on mine has the sv50 and he loves it.

Was the XYZ A spec the 26cc or the 50cc. I am also very interested in the XYZ 50cc. Which is the better engine?
SV or XYZ (50cc)? I know that there are Pitts mufflers for the 26cc, but was can I use on the 50cc?
