RC Ignitions
Periodically there are people that are looking for information regarding Zenoah engines and parts, parts availability, engine modifications, and repair. To make things easier the thread has been created so all anyone has to do to locate the info for contacting the Zenoah Main Man (Ralph Cunningham) is to start a search using "RC Ignitions" in the search window. This should come up easily.

RE: RC Ignitions
On second thought, it might be better to use "Zenoah Parts" as the search title, as using Ralph's info sounds a bit like putting the cart before the horse.

RE: RC Ignitions
Hi Gang,
I have been trying to contact Ralph regarding an engine I just sent him and everything I send gets bounced. I tried his "contact us" page and every other email address I could find including the one listed here. Anyone know what is going on? I also left a phone message.
Thanks
Tony
PS: I have a G-62 Lite, a GT-74 Lite, and soon to be G-45 Lite. I LOVE 'em!

RE: RC Ignitions
OK, I get it now but I really don't like what I am hearing. Hopefully, things will get straightened out in the near future.
Thanks for the bandwidth.

RE: RC Ignitions
Ralph is still very much in business but has decided to scale down his operations. If you sent him your engine rest assured that he will have whatever you requested done and return it.

He changed his e-mail address. He's still doing engine stuff but only for people he's known fo a long time. If you want to buy an ignition or something try the phone number. I know it still works just fine.

If this is true, then why advertise his services by starting this thread?

This thread was started long before Ralph decided to slow down.

Yep, I missed that when you revived it a few weeks ago. You must have either missed the date too or were just wanting to bump it for whatever reason.
I guess my question should have been, "why bump this old thread if he is basically out of business?"

RE: RC Ignitions
He's still doing engine work but he's a lot more particular about who he does work for. If he knows you or has done business with you before he handles things just fine. So this thread is still quite useful for those that may have misplaced his address or phone number. If he wants you to have the new e-mail he'll give it to you. Last I heard he just doesn't want to be flooded with a bunch of new customers.

RE: RC Ignitions
I'm a Zenoah fan. I have had 25 or 30 of them over the last 15 or so years. Nearly every one of them I bought from or sent to Ralph for modification or repairs. I have 4 now and every one has seen his neat craft preformed on them. He is the best. I was just simply looking for a place to give him a public pat on the back for another job well done. I'm thankful for his help I guess you can tell. Brian

RE: RC Ignitions
He is a shining gem. The man knows gas engines inside and out. He's helped me out several times and I am indebted to him.
It's just a shame a couple of rude people around RCU gave him enough unwarranted BS for about 2yrs that he finally just threw his hands up and quit frequenting this forum. Can't say I blame the guy. I wouldn't have taken that kind of treatment for as long as he did. The guy came to this forum and divulged thousands of tips and good bits of advice to complete strangers.... simply out of the goodness of his heart and the desire to nurture the hobby by spreading his knowledge to newcomers and experienced modelers alike.
It wasn't until idiots and know-it-alls starting basically telling him he didn't know what he was talking about that he finally became rough around the edges and snappy with people after years of unwarranted abuse. Again, can't say I blame the guy for not visiting this forum anymore. It's just a shame that the offending members of RCU were never dealt with properly for flaming, degrading, insulting or embarrassing as the rules so state.
Go back and read the mans posts from several YEARS ago. He was nothing but kind and gracious. He gave FREELY of his knowledge and sometimes even gave freely of his parts. Fast forward to about 1yr or 1.5yrs ago and see how his mood and general demeanor changed after people started treating him like crap and questioning his expertise. It's no wonder the guy left. He didn't need the brain damage anymore.
Ralph, if you're reading, you are truly missed. Best wishes to you and your wife.
