Default Is there any power to be gained?

Is there any power to be gained, from mods or the use of different style intake's ( or carb. adpters)?

THanks Wes

Smoothing abrupt transitions between intake tract shapes, opening restrictions, increasing intake diameter etc.

Vague answer to vague question.

Engines are just air compressors. More air thru it means more power. Find ways to let the air flow more easily. Everything's a tradeoff, the more power you make with these tricks, the less user friendly the engine will become, as vacuum is reduced at the venturi.

Any specifics? Power is available many ways. Some engines respond to some techniques better than others.
