Default China made Flex headers and canisters ???

Looking to see if anyone has installed and run any of the China made canisters and flex headers that are coming out of China and if they are holding up.

not just one or two flights but enough to tell if they will hold up and not crack and give problems, The ones that i have seen seem to be very thin and you could just crush them with your hand, Did not try to do it but sure did look weak.

Picture below are the ones I am talking about

Thanks for you input

Remind me never to shake you hand! Schwarzenegger couldn't crush mine, (the header), the canister is light, but not much lighter than my KS, lighter than my MTW though.

I have about ten flights on mine, still fine.

There was 2 main manufacturers of them here (there was a few smaller producers too but to my knowledge - none of them produced the flex set similar to what is in your picture.

Of the two main suppliers, One makes as good quality as any of the other mass produced items I've seen. But they are more expensive than the other supplier.

Guess which one I was just told has shut his doors.

Yep - the more expensive one.

However to answer your question - I have over 200 flights on one of the sets from the good supplier (100cc twin cylinder) and they haven't cracked yet. They are very similar looking to the ones in your photo.

The other supplier - I have about 25 flights on a 50cc setup with no issues so far and I got about 15 flights on another 50cc setup before I junked the header due to massive micro cracking. -

So it's a mixed bag of results I guess

I don't think no one has a product that will not have some to fail, it is just how many that is the main factor.

Like you i guess will just have to get one and see how it goes, the only problem we have now is winter is coming on and flying will be at a slow pace for a while so getting a lot of time on one will be slow going.

What is the stud bolt pattern on the MT- C 60 Flex Header. Can it be drilled to fit and engine with the bolt hole centers 29 mm apart? Can one purchasse the Flex Header seperately??

It's not just about the bolt spread on the muffler flange. The pipe diameter and can size are big factors when it comes to the engine size. Pipes and cans designed around a 50cc cylinder do not always have nice effects on 26 and 38cc engines.
