syssa aircraft 30cc engine SAP-180HP
Has anyone had any experiance with this engine, I am looking for a new engine in the 26 to 30cc range.

You won't get much lead out with the SAP 180. It is very light - 39 ounces all up. If you need weight go with a zenoah 26 or look for a EI converted Zenoah G38. Even old they are like the Energizer bunny.

Appreciate the suggestion but I think a 38 cc motor would be too large. This is the old Carl Goldberg kit with a 72" wingspan.
I need to get the lead out of the cowl and under the motor mount in any case. Weight on the cowl makes it too fragile. This plane was built by a club member six or seven years ago and never flown. I really admired his construction except for the lead in the cowl. It's really a beautiful plane.
