Auto Zone here doesnt carry it either. I found it at Checker Auto however. They sell it in the 3.2oz bottles. I think its $1.20.

" So what is the next best? "

I understand that AMSOIL SABER mixed at 80:1 is good. At least Desert Aircraft use to recommend it.

They still recommend it, as well as the 50:1.

Go to Walmart and get Super Tech Universal 2 cycle oil for air cooled engines

It is the same thing and made by SOPUS just like the Pennzoil

Notice on the MSDS sheets how the phone numbers and the PO Box Numbers are the same

Buy Pennzoil here

Here's what Amsoil mixed at 80:1 does to a DA100

EDIT:
This is after several hundred gallons of fuel.

Stihl, Husqvarna, Bel Ray and Redline are all good oils. Don't go leaner than 50:1. The engine will last until you crash it.

So this is after "several hunderd gallons", the ring doesn't appear to be stuck as shown in the first three photos, the crankcase looks clean, no scratches on the piston or cylinder, some deposit on the piston. Maybe it's simply wore out? I use to mix at 65 to 1, 2 ounces to a gallon, just because it was easy, looks like 80 to1 would work fine, I might burn 20 gallon a year!

Here is an excellent oil that I use in all my engines including the new DA-150 in our 42% Super Decathlon. I mix it 40:1. It burns very clean. I get it at Academy Sports and Outdoors. Read the back of the container.

Doesn't appear to be stuck? So I'm a lier? Where you there? Did you take the engine apart? Did you inspect it first hand? Did I ever say the ring was stuck on the top where the ring gap is located? No, I didn't.

The rings were stuck almost 160* from the ring gaps. Actually, if you stood on the right side of the plane and looked at the top of the cylinder, that ring was stuck in the 8 o'clock position. If you stood on the left side of the plane and looked at the top of the cylinder, that ring was stuck in about the 5 o'clock position.

Basically, both were stuck near the back of the cylinder.

Just because the ring gap opened up when out of the cylinder doesn't mean they aren't stuck at some OTHER point along the ring groove.
