Default vess 27A Or MEZ 27X10TH ???????

Has anyone flown and compared these two props? I have been testing them and would like to hear what others think. The plane is a EF YAK 110" with AREA 102cc. So far I think the vess pulls better and the MEZ makes it land a little hotter.

you cannot compare the two. The Vess A-type is low pitch, whilst the mejzliks 10" is medium pitch, aggravated by the more cambered thin foil.
Therefore it follows reason that the 10" pitch prop comes in hotter! But it also will pull better than the low pitch Vess as soon as the plane picks up speed.

A PT 27x8 or 28x8 could be another good option to try. I bought a PT 27x8 for my Comp-ARF Extra 330L 2.6 but I won't be testing it at least for a month (the plane is not finished yet).

I personally don't like the Vess props. It's like flying in neutral.

The Mejzlik props are straight forward with great power curve. 27x10 Is good for break-in and I move to 28x10 afterwards, as it provides better slowing in the downlines.

The 27x10 is problematic for me and I have never been able to figure it out. I think it load the engine more than it should...

I have two DL-100's both with the Mejzlik 27 X 10TH props.
One is at 4 gallons and is turning 6500 rpm and the other is at 8 gallons and it turning 6600 rpm.
I have never tried a Vess. ( I won one at the Huckfest in Mass, but it is a 26A ).
I actually wish Mejzlik would make a 28 X 10TH.
That would be the ticket. My DL-100 turning 6600 is awsome.
It is on stock mufflers, but acts like it is on pipes.
Instand throttle response, screams out of a hover, and rips the prop whenever it's wide open.

Come on Mejzlik, make a 28 X 10TH................

Really depends on what type of flying you want to do.

The Vess will yank it out of a hover quicker but max out on speed in a hurry where as the Mej will not qute pull as hard from a dead stop but overall provide more speed and an even power curve. I like Mej better but I dont have a dedicated only 3D machine and honestly still like a highspeed precision mix so I probably will never have one. Also the Vess is louder for sure.
