Default BME 116 /stock muffs, spin a Mej 26x12 3 blade?

Considering a Mej 26"x12"N-3Blade in front of a BME 116 Xtreme to pull the AW 100cc Edge.

Will the 116 perform well with it?

I understand 3 blade props are usually smaller than the equal 2 blader, and as such reduce punch. However I saw a vid of an AW 300 with a 26" 2 blade, it looked pretty good. Shouldn't a 3 blade of the same diameter provide at least the 2 blade's performance? (assuming the engine can spin it sufficiently - hence the question...)

My reasoning is the BME has a good bit more power than the average 100cc, so perhaps I can swing a 26" 3 blade effectively and get the cool factor up front.

With this powerplant and airframe, will I get an effective 3D/precision mix off this combo?

I know there are a few 116's out there - sure would like to hear from you.

Cheers,

Andrew.

I run a DA-100 with a 25x12x3 with no problems on cans. You can tell a difference in performacne from a 27x10 or 28x10 but you get used it pretty quickly.

Knowing the BME has a fair amount more power I would think a 26x12x3 would be perfect.

The mejzlik 26x12Nx3 has about the same power load as the Mejzlik 25x12Sx3. The latter prop ran about 6500 rpm on my MVVS 116 with MTW TD75 cans.
The BME (if healthy) will turn that prop with at least 6000 rpm, so is not overpropped with it.
The milage may differ if you use a restricting mufler system.

Ahh I missed the "N" I was referring to the 25x12x3 S just for accurate info.

I have BME 116 with MTW75H cans and a PT modles prop , 28-10 it runs very well now. My qestion is what rpm to high or low for this prop setp. The plane comes out o a hover with a click or two, I was thinking of going with a 27-10. To make it less sensative.

The DA-100L turns this prop with no problems at all. I assume the BME is stronger and should even get more rpm...

Let the BME spin in the mid 6000's static if you can, it is happiest there and you will be also

I have a 110 and I am in the process of getting a 116. On the 110 I ran a mejzlik 25 12S 3 blade and a 27 10TH mejzlik. the two blade prop had at least 20% more power (i mean way more, very noticable). I liked the three blade for IMAC because it was quieter and the tranistion was smother but for power you loose a lot more than you would think.
