Default G38 Zenoah Magneto plug wire

I have 4 old style G38 zenoah engines. The plug wires are getting cracks in several of them. Is there any way to replace the plug wire in the magneto, or do you have to buy a new mag??? Don't really want to spend 126.99 just to replace a wire!! I appreciate any help you can give me. Only other alternative would be electronice ignition. Is there any way to ohm a mag and test for a short, or if its ok?

One mine...the spark plug wire will screw out of the coil. Once out, you should see what looks like a pointed wood screw. Just screw in a new wire. Good luck....Capt,n[X(]

OH...forgot to say...I think you need carbon center wire. Make sure you check radio range & possibe glitches before you fly. Best Regards Capt,n
