RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)
I cant think about anything but finishing this P40 right now....new carbs have shipped from Tower DLE20cc carbs Didnt get to call Agape yesterday but will today All in the R/C world has returned to normal for now and I can proceed with my main project Nearly finished then I can move on to my next build Big Thanks for all your help on these engines fellas...It may have all been a rehash for most of you but it was fun for me although a little disappointing. Anyway, until you dig into it, up to your elbows, your just a bystander watching the world go by Somebody turn that glimmer light back on now[&:] and PM me if anything developes

Congratulations airborne
She is a beauty - lucky she inherited her mothers looks
Now you need to train her on RC things. Because When (not if - but when) she uses her eyes to plead with you (and you will give in, trust me, I know this) you might as well be giving in to something you want.
Well done mate. Life is certainly about to becoem a lot of fun for you, take advantage of every single moment and enjopy thembecause before you know she will be all grown up. Above all, keep a sense of humor about you as no matter what, you will have a lot of good memories generated over the next couple of decades.

RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)
Thanks guys, I appreciate the advice. I've heard and witness how quickly they grow up. I have a lot of nieces and nephews Next year one of my nephews will be heading to the USA to get his pilots license. Hhhhmmm I wonder who helped with pointing him in that direction. I seems like he was an infant yesterday and next year he'll be going to flight school!!!!?? Where did the years go!!?
It shouldn't hurt to get her on the sticks of my Real Flight G3.5 by the weekend right? I want to get her the Real Flight G6

I think you should go out, right this moment, and buy the G6. Any delay could be disastrous. If she gets to like some of the earlier functions of the 3.5, you may have to build those into your planes.
Ok - go on, I have given you all the excuses you need. What are you waiting for?

Real Flight G6 it is!!!
Real Flight G6 it is!!!
At least with the G6 your girl wouldn't have to worry about getting a new carb, muffler, tweeking HS/LS needles for months and making tons of repairs on her model due to countless dead sticks she would experience with Michaels JBA / NGH engines.

Looks like APC 15x4W is my favorite prop, to this point.
I put 6 more flights on the Mojo yesterday, and vertical performance is pretty good. The motor is transitioning better from 1/4 to 3/4 throttle. I'm able to transition from inverted harrier to hover, without worrying about loss of power (due to poor transition around mid stick).
The JC super props load the engine too much IMO. Maybe when it gets more time on it.

Ive been reading through this thread . Havent been on this forum in a couple years(moderators arent cool) . Was wondering if you have any vids on the Mojo with a JBA on it and pics . I have heard very mixed reviews on this motor . The weight is more than the dle20 and the HP has to be wrong . Your thrust looks real good though . I took my saito72 out of my mojo and put it in a chinnyak . Was also wondering how it balanced with 30oz. in the nose . I like to fly with a neutral balance .

RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)
I bought a used JBA 15 from a guy in my club. The connecting rod broke after a gallon of fuel. I now see that it has happened before. I just called Valley View and they are looking to see if they have any spares. A friend of mine is going to machine me a new one out of titanium and try to put a roller bearing in it. I am going to to buy a new one for a pattern. Does anyone have a spare in case Valley View is out of stock?

RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)
Hey Guys, Had my JBA15 for about 18 months now. Ran it carefully in on mineral oil for first couple of hours and the rest Coolpower, all at 20:1. Have had about 10 hours running. Went flying today and had a dead stick landing, back at pits went to turn motor over and there was a loud clicking noise.I pulled the motor from the airframe and removed back cover. Conrod was severely deformed at bottom end and has worn a groove into side of the crankcase . After reading everyone's posts here I thought I had got passed the dangerous period but obviously not. I will try to post pictures tomorrow. Cheers.
