CRRC PRO GF40I 40cc REVIEW???

Hey guys. Im new to gassers, and wondered if anyone has had any experience with the crrf pro 40cc kit? I have read mixed reviews on this site. FYI, i would not want to mess with changing out the ignition, etc, i would be flying it right out of the box. I try to get out flying once a week, for an hour or so, and I want an engine that will last me several years. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

RE: CRRC PRO GF40I 40cc REVIEW???

Neb,

Here is a link to a pretty good thread on the CRRC 40cc.

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_77...tm.htm#7729462

I have one with about 2 gallons of fuel through it without any problems. After about a 1/2 gallon of run time time I did change my ignition out to a Rcexl ignition. Not because it failed, because I started seeing a trend in stock ignition complaints. In the above listed thread, you will find some guys that have had good luck with the stock ignition unit, its just seems to be the luck of the draw. Another thing to change is the stock plug, they are junk. Go with a NGK BPMR6F plug. One last thing, make sure you check that the timing is set around 28 BTDC.

Here is a link of mine running..
