Brison Ignition Module
1 Attachment(s)
Does anyone know the history of this Brison ignition module? I thought that the Brison engines came with CH ignitions. Who made this one? Dan.

RE: Brison Ignition Module
Looks like an old one?

RE: Brison Ignition Module
Maybe an early attempt at labeling under the Brison name, or simply replaced a damaged outer case. First I've seen like that. Could also be one they used in the shop when tuning engines.

RE: Brison Ignition Module
This is most likely a throttle coupled spark advance model.

That was made for Brison, its from OK. Gary had "problems" with them and switched to CH. It is a TCSA ignition
They are not serviceable. |

You could almost take that to the bank. It still has the rubber boot and a separate ground strap, which pretty much went away with the syncro spark. I'm sure TKG or BCCHI might chime in soon with more accurate background. I do not believe Gary ever made ignitions, but may have used products from makers other than CH. It's definately not anything late model that might have entered service shortly before the Kangke take over of the company.

It looks like tkg has a good lead. An instruction sheet on the CH website does mention replacing a TCSA with a CH. Now, if we only can find bcchi. Dan.

RE: Brison Ignition Module
Brison engines over the years have had CH ignition units of both the TCSA and automatic advance types depending on when they were made.
