EME 55 DLE's new Cousin?

I read in another forum that the EME's are made in the same factory as DLE Engines http://www.sdshobby.net/newest-eme55...55-p-4073.html and that the parts are interchangeable... any truth to that rumor?

None of the Chinese RC engine companies are manufacture's, They are assembler's

Most get the parts from the same place and just assemble the engines.

The above is why, right now, at this moment, gas engine R/C is at its pinnacle. Users will not be able to experience the pleasure of flying with larger or better engines than they already have.

Isn't SV an actual manufacturer ?
Apart from supplying most of the parts to the bulk of the "assemblers"?

They sure are bold to come on here and say they already copied the DA 60. Guess that means a DLE60 will be here soon.

There is no punishment for making the copies. That's where the problem lies. Since they own most of our debt our government, and the U.N., will not initiate any type of enforcement activities against them. The only protection our industry has is to prevent the release of information or products they can use or copy, which is why our R/C engine research and development is now becoming limited to UAV operations, which are controlled under rules and regs from the State Department.

They manage to eventually steal the stuff anyway, but at least those inventing the stuff get to make exclusive use of it for more than a couple weeks. They've even managed to make copies of some of the stuff I work with. There's doesn't work for chit though:)

There would currently be a world of advancement in model airplane gas engines if it were not for the oppression of prices and therefore technology by the current crop of old fashioned copy cat mediocre alphabet engines by inexperienced opportunist entrepreneurs in the Far East.

The DLE remains the only shining star of these engines and this is because of quality control and true production manufacturing technique with an eye towards the future.

I find it funny, not ha-ha funny but peculiar, that you see it as a "problem"yet promote the most successful Chinese copycat engine and one of their U.S.Distributors.

From my understanding the DL/DLE line of engines arent "copy cats" but im no expert

BTW, Remind us again where DA copied their early designs from?http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...wink_smile.gif

US company copies a design, no problem. Anybody else, pirates! Hang them high!

Small gasoline engines have become a throw-away commodity just like toasters have. Remember when simple appliances were repaired by a business on main street?

I saw the ad for the EME and noticed the milling to remove the letter casting on the jug. Identical to the DLE. That the parts are interchangeable should be a hint. Exact copy. Same quality, dunno, but I will go make some pop corn and wait....

Man I got to get me one of those. I wonder if they will have a 30cc version or even a 20cc version, I wonder when they will come out on the market. Well you know someone is gonna be asking, so I thought I would beat all of you guys to it.

I aint buying them. Just poking fun.

Well now lets just see about copycats....
The first 3W 60cc single looked like a G62 with a poorly cast crankcase that had lugs that easily broke off in a crash...
The first 3W 70 opposed twin I ever saw was sent to me by Wendel Hostetler for conversion to my ignition...The 3W ignition was a complete disaster, had spark coils in the middle of the spark plug wires..Looked like an Ostrich that swallowed an orange...
The DA 50 a cantilever crank..Can anyone show me a 3W 50 with a cantilever crank ? A&M had cantilever cranks in the late 80s...
All you conspiracy theorists make me laugh.. Bill Carpenter and I were making the best ignitions in the late 80s...I wonder where DA and 3w got their ideas ??
There is nothing new under the sun, this stuff has been around in various forms since the first model airplane engines many years ago...
A company called GEN Engineering was showing a 124 cc opposed twin made from 2 G62s at Oshkosh way back before most of the big companies had opposed twins...I guess DA and 3w copied those engines...

Well since copying is a form of flattery. In this case I guess the saying that flattery will get you anywhere holds true.

Wounder what this is a copy of, There is no name cast on it but all the parts will fit a DLE, DLA, EME and most all 55cc engines of this type from China.
