ignition module question
Can you use an ignition module from say a DLE 50 with a 3MM 50? Or can you use a 50's module with a DLE 30? in other words mix and match?

RE: ignition module question
Ive run a DLE 55 ignition on a DLE 30. Some say the timming curve is different. Try it and see, I dont think it will hurt anything. Maybe all knowing, all seeing, Captinjohn will chime in and have his say

RE: ignition module question
All DLE ign sourced out from RCEXL. If i'm not mistaken the timing retard functions is the same, only the cap sizes are different from one model to the other.

RE: ignition module question
Even though DLE uses different timing curves in some of their engines, the ignitions are made by RCEXL. Most likely, they will work fine on the other engines.

When swapping ignitions, the spark plug cap size is important. Also the caps can be changed.

The sensor is important too. There are different type of sensors.

Also some ignition modules work different inside so maybe it uses the same sensor as RCEXL but is timed at TDC instead of 28-30 degrees?

The RCEXL is more or less the standard that everything else is compared to.
