prop stud install
 

Hello I have a zenoah g26 engine and some days ago I was trying to unscrew a prop locknut from the cranckshaft and it was so tight I unscrewed the prop stud. How can I screw the prop stud again, it is very difficult to rotate it inside and get the proper screwing torque... should I use a locknut to help ? if I use the locknut how do I take out the locknut without unscrewing the stud?

You put two nuts on the stud, tighten them together, screw the stud into the crankshaft and tighten. then loosen the two nuts and spin them back off. A little locktite helps on the stud threads.

Clean off the smooth part of the stud until it spins free in the hub.. Put Loctite on the taper,,Easy on the wrench, the 6mm end of the stud can break off...

What is the max torque with a torque wrench? Thank you

88 lb/in with locking glue according to the Zenoah owner's manual T2075-93110(209)...9.8 Nm to 11.8 Nm... Or 100 to 120 kg.cm

thanks. I have another question, can I do it without disassembling the engine? how does the hub gets put together to the cranckshaft, can it be that the hub itself might be loosened?

Sounds like the hub didn't come off the crank...The hub is tapered, the end of the crank is tapered, tapped for the 6mm stud...Loctite the taper, put the hub on, tighten to 88 oz/in,,,,
