Sad day for gas engines - Pe Rievers

I was informed in another forum by a fellow club member of his that Pe Reviers passed away suddenly.

As he's in the Netherlands I have no way to confirm this as of yet, but if its true its a great loss and I always enjoyed our discussions.

Rest in peace my friend.

He was a stalwart within our modelling fraternity, sharing his knowledge and assisting wherever possible. Condolences to his family on their loss, and rest in peace my friend. We will miss you but you are in a better place.

As I type this a sadness comes over me. I will miss his replies that really helped many of us with our engine problems. He had many good links that really helped too. May the Good Lord Bless him & watch over his family. John Capt,n here on RCU.

The RC community has indeed lost a very large assett. His wealth of knowledge was used by many of us on multiple forums.
Whether you agreed with him or not he always backed up his info with incredible detail. He will sorely be missed.
God speed my friend.

I too enjoyed his posts and replies to questions. His web site has a wealth of information as well. He seemed like a man who was very passionate about his work and willing to share it and help others without any strings attached.
Prayers for him and his family and close friends.

Terrible news. Condolences to family and friends. Knew him only from here in the forum, but he seemed like a great guy and was always helpful with his advice to all that had engine problems and questions.

I am sorry he is gone. His comments always struck me as well informed. What was his age?

RIP Pe

My condolences, he will be missed a lot too. He was the best. That causes a big hole in MVVS engine support, parts and supplies as he had the biggest internet store for it.

Thank you Flyinwalenda. Someone asked how old he was. His website says he was born April of '43.
I bookmarked his website. I mostly lurk here n learn a lot. Sometimes I would search to see what he was answering to. Really going to miss his posts.

I never really conversed with the man, but always found his posts enlightening. He will be missed.
Let us all enjoy the short time we have on this Earth.

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...msn/crying.gifVery sad indeed. He helped me solve my cooling issues and without all the usual raging and no it all attitude that happens on here so often. A gracious gentleman. My thoughts and condolences also.

I visited with Pe for over 20 years about engines - way back to the old Supertigres on ignitions days. When we BOTH were trying to figure out how to make those freakin' carbs work....he was very knowledgeable on so many aspects of our hobby. He was one of those individuals who told it like it was - and never worried about the audience - facts were facts, and he helped countless thousands through his efforts. It would be an incredible honor to this man devoted to engines if RCU could grab all his posts and make it a sticky. In my opinion, his knowledge is worth capturing for those who will be here and not able to visit with him as so many of us have done. RCU - is there any possible way to do this as an honor to him?I am missing him already...

My condolences. I have always enjoyed reading and learning from his posts. Based on the above he was a mere 70 years old.
