Advice needed on gas engine

Good morning all. I have returned to RC after a 25 yr absence ( family, military career, etc.) and the gas engine thing is totally new to me. I am looking at the DLE 30 cc and the EME 35 cc engines to purchase and wanted some opinions on the best of the two engines. Any feedback will be appreciated.

Welcome back to the hobby! I can only advise on the DLE and they are very good and reliable engines at a good price and are available through several sources. Service and parts are also readily available which counts the most in my opinion. Lots of new engines coming on the market all the time but DLE has established themselves as a reputable brand. In China, todays shoe maker is tomorrows gas engine maker. What ever sells. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SERVICE!

Moving thread to Gas Engines forum.

Reason: Better suited forum for this question.

Do not want to indorse any engine but the EME is a good buy.

The EME 55 and 60 have had some needle bearing problems but the DLE also has some of the same problems from time to time.

I have both and consider them equal, never had problems with any of them, most problems people have are user input.
They both come with exhaust diverters, not mufflers, they are both very noisy without a canister or wrap around pitts. Adding that cost then makes these cheap engines not so cheap.
The OS 33 comes with a muffler that actually makes the noise level quite acceptable, so that's another one to consider.
If noise isn't a problem go with either the eme or dle both great engines.
PS welcome back to the hobby
PPS stay away from HK

I would likely go with the DLE engine as parts availability is much better for it. Many hobby shops stock the engines as does one of the major importers too.
So you can find some good deals online. But there are fake DLE engines (hard to beleive but it appears to be true), so you want to buy from a reputable source.

Ditto ! Personally have a DLE-20 and an OS GT 22, thus I can not personally report on a 30 CC DLE. But I have read many more good reviews than bad ones. If I were to purchase another gas engine today, it would be the DLE. :D

I have both 20cc and 30cc Dle engines. after 2 full seasons of hard flying they remain gas and go. They are both easy starters and smooth runners. Fill em up and run them up.
