Quardra needle bearing oil ?
One of our more prominent field guru's advised us today, that because Quardra engines use needle bearings, that it was wrong to use a synthetic oil such as Stihl HP Ultra, which we have been using all along. He stated that only a petroleum oil was satisfactory for lubricating Quardra's using needle bearings.
What is your opinion of such a statement ? Ed |

What the right oil for the needle bearings in a DA?

Biggest bunch of nonsense I have ever heard.

Yea BS,comparing my small outboard motors the older 1967sleeved bearing motor specs 24:1 mix, my newer outboard same basic motor with needle bearings calls for 100:1 mix thats a huge difference, the needle bearings don't need all that oil like a bushing does. Synthetic oil is superior.
