Evolution 15cc ignition battery
 

Hey guys

Just getting back into the hobby. Purchased an evolution15 cc engine and was curious what you guys are using for the ignition battery.*

I am putting the engine on a trainer and plan to have fairly long flight times.

Also are you guys placing the fuel tank about the same as a glow engine

I use a two cell LiFe battery for the receiver and ignition on both my 15gx. A Tech-Aero IBEC supplies the voltage for the ignition module and has four layers of filtering.

Hobbyking 1100 ma 2-cell LIFE. About 4 bucks, weight around 3 ounces, and plenty of capacity. I have used these exclusively for several years with zero failures. One pack for ignition and the other for radio.
