Ignition Switch Setup

1 Attachment(s)
Need some help on this one. My gasoline engine experience is limited and my knowledge of electronics is not much better.
Please have a look at the picture. I am adding the opto kill switch to an existing plane that i have only used the "mechanical" switch in the past.
I am looking for confirmation that this is set up correctly and if not what is the proper method. I need to leave the mechanical switch in the setup if possible because that is where i charge the ignition battery from.

You're spot on.

Great. Thank you!

The opto needs to be between the ignition and "mechanical" switch

It will work the way you show it but you will not be able to charge your battery in the charge jack.

+1 the opto will interrupt the circuit when not powered, you can not charge the ignition battery from there.
Also the mechanical switch should be before the opt, some slowly drain the battery when connected
