Evolution 33cc GX

aloha guys
I'm new to gas engines, been flying/using nitro (Saitos) for a long time.
My new engine starts real easy, almost like my saitos, but I'm running into a problem which really bugs me.

My engine will go down to idle but I can't shut off the engine completly . I screwed out the throttle stopper out where there is no interference.
My servo (fut 3004) pulls the throttle lever all the way shut and the engine doesn't shut off, still runs like fast idle.

I need help since I'm a newbi to gas engines.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Mahalo & Sincerely, MIke.

I would suggest that you do two things. First, install a manual on-off switch between the battery and the ignition module. Second, install an optical kill switch so you can kill the engine from the transmitter.

Aloha John.
Thanks for your quick reply to my inquiry. FYI; I flew my rascul with the engine two day ago, 12 minutes... upon landing since the engine was at a fast idle the plane would not stop rolling to the point where I could stop it and turn off the manual switch which is installed on my plane ( 1 switch for ignition, 1 for rx), i've been working on past two days trying to get the carb to shut my engine off completely. Optical switch is on order, but in the mean time shouldn't I be able to close the carb completely?

Mahalo, MIke.

It all depends on the type of model airplane gas engine and the carb that is on it. Some engines/carbs will not close far enough to kill the engine.
