To get 20x6 props, I will need to order them specially. Possible but very expensive. I just finished installing the cowl and speaking to one of the experienced 3D pilots. Lets see what happens once the engine gets properly tuned.

Its getting into the summer here and its now getting more difficult to assemble biplanes (it take 15-20 minutes easily, enough time for others to take two flights). So I may be going to a monoplane soon (AW Extra 300 30cc). While that gets assembled, I am going to persist with the Pitts

I'm with MTK, you need more load and always the proper tune.

Break in, on the bench, when ever, never is the right time for rich on a gas engine old or new.

Hobbyking has Beechwood props. They are on your side of the globe.

Hobbyking quality is hit or miss. Back when i didnt have a starter, i had a dle 20 kick back & chip a brand new jxf prop badly. I would rather order stuff from the US. But i get the thing about load. Have already installed the cowl & airplane is ready. The 3d pilot i was talking about will tuneup the enginw next weekend with a 2.5% Amsoil mix (been using Motul 800 till now). Will take a call on the propeller for 3d capability then. I currently have a 19x8 installed & there is no roll authority in the hover without the cowl

I think you'll find that many high quality oils are not rated at all as the companies simply don't choose to pay the ransom fees to have the oils rated. In place of the rating the companies may say something like "suggested for use in engines requiring JASO or API TC oils" or perhaps "surpasses API TC ratings". To not use an oil unless there is a specific rating on the bottle means that many quality oils are excluded.

I would stay with the Motul.Just my opinion.I use Sthil Ultra in everything from day one 32 to 1.
