Rcgf engines

I have a Phoenix models edge 540. 1/4 scale 90/120 size. Wanna go gas with a Rcgf 26 cc gas engine. It will fit good and want smoke later. Enough power for this plane? I want to fly it , not just go around the field. It has to have some nice verticle or it's not going to do what I want. It has a 108 asp nitro in in now. Not to bad. your thoughts. Thanks.....RON

I doubt seriously it would be lacking for power - but you are definitely starting to push wing loading. With this engine it's going to be getting right up there.

The Rcgf engine 26cc only weighs 2 oz more les the cd box than the 108 does. Has about the same hp rating too. Swings about the same prop too , after some research I found this out. I think it would be a good swap..... Thanks for you input.RON
