The 35 ra. I have two and they are nice engines, should work well on that Stick.

35

Both are good engines. I currently own (2) 30 and a 35. The 35 is more powerful but the 30 is no slouch! Some prefer the rear exhaust 35 but the side exhaust 30 still has its place and I won't be getting rid of mine anytime soon. One advantage of the 35, you don't have to buy a separate muffler if you want the exhaust pipes in the rear. I would think either engine would be ideal for the Stik.

As said above both are nice. Is the 35cc $100 nicer?? To me it is. I like the RE feature and the 35 sounds SOOOO much butter. It's a more mellow tone that does not get old.

Truckracer hit on the reason for my 35cc preference. If you buy a 30 and at some point want to install it in something where you'd like a scale exhaust location, there will be no extra expense to buy the wrap around muffler for the side exhaust engine. One of those, that will last you a while, is going to cost you the 100 difference in the 2 engines.

The rear exhaust engine is also the more compact install, requiring less in the way of potential cowl hacking than it's side exhaust counterpart.

Of course if you never plan on using the engine for anything but a Stick, it's a moot point.

I have both and they both run fine. The 35 has a little more power than the 30. The 35 sounds better and seems to be less picky about the needle settings.

The 35RA is great in any application. It's compact and runs strong and reliable. The 30 will be fine in a Stick type sport plane and even better if your on a budget. If you don't plan on flying warbirds or narrow scale cowls then the 30 will be fine for most sport planes.

Get the 35 and a NGK CM6 spark plug with a Xoar wood 18x10 and you won't regret it!
