Carburetor problems on A&M 40cc Engine
I have a 40cc A&M Engine on an Extra 300 airplane and it won’t start. I purchased a carburetor kit and installed it and I still was unable to start it, then I bought a new carburetor and It still won’t start. I also noticed a bubble in the fuel line. Could this be the problem and if so, how can I fix it? |
Are you able to determine if the carb is pulling fuel from the tank ? If not ...
Common issues are: Fuel tank internal plumbing problems . Dry diaphrams in the carb . Pulse hole blocked , failed gasket(s)or cracked carb insulator block. Inspect all fuel lines and fuel tank internal lines . Be sure all connections correct and are tightly sealed . Inspect the carb block and gaskets . Be sure the pulse passage is clear and all gaskets align with it . |
Thank you for responding. when I installed the new carb, I also replaced the fuel lines too but I will check the tank and exchange it out. Also, what does it mean if there is an air bubble in the line, does this mean the tank isn't completely seal?

It means there is a loose connection and it is getting air in

Thanks.
