1/4" x 32 Iridium spark plugs

Can anyone tell me if the 1/4"x 32 Iridium spark plugs are any better than the standard 1/4" x 32 plugs.
Iridium plugs are more expensive but if they are better it maybe worth the extra money.

It's nothing that's going to turn a prop any faster, but IMHO, they make for a more forgiving motor when it comes to carb adjustments - especially when the motor is running/needs to be run on the rich side.

Thanks will try them.
I am not really looking for more power just a more robust longer lasting plug, as i have had a couple of the standard types fail lately and they had not seen much run time.
Thanks Geoff

What was their failure mode? Foul? Just quit working or ? Curious

1 just stopped working and the other seemed to stop working at high throttle setting, ok at idle. Not sure why this happens unless it has something to do with combustion pressure at high rpm.
engine is a small 20cc rcgf twin.

engines with cdi systems and which are difficult to run well in all situations.
There you can advantageously drive with iridium spark plugs.
stronger spark and better combustion.
goes well with a slightly richer setting.
I have it on some methanol engines.

Hi Lars
I have ordered a couple of Iridium spark plugs to try. When they arrive I will let you know how the go.
