Props for BME?

What would be a good 2 blade and 3 blade prop to break in the BME 110xtreme?

28-10 mejzlik, 28-10 Menz-s, 28-10 Biela Two blades

Mejzlik 26-12 or Fuchs 26-12 3-blade, posibly a 27-12 three blade after break-in.

Do you think a menz-s 26/12 3 blade would work for break in?

RE: Props for BME?

I don't see why not, as long as you don't overly-load the motor or lean it out too much or starve it for cooling air and oil. Just use common sense for the first 5-10 gallons and don;t overly-lean the top end mixture. I've had great results witht he top needle set about 3/16 turn richer than peak, and no overheating issues.

Do you know if mejzlik makes a 26x12 3 blade prop? Desert aircraft doesn't have them listed.

I talked to Dave johnson several weeks ago about the mejzlik 26-12 3-blade and he indicated that they expected some to be delivered soon, since people were asking about them. Best bet is to call DA and ask them for information about availability and pricing.

Thanks. I contacted BME and DA. They both recommended an Air Models 26 x 12 3 blade for break in. So thats what I went with. I hope to move to a menz-s 27x12 3 blade after break in. Thanks for responding.

How about a 3 blade for a BME 102? I have a Fuchs 23/12. It swings pretty good and pulls OK. I was woundering about a 22/12, has anyboby tried this?:D

RE: Props for BME?

Which 102? Old style or Evo?

Old style 102 did well with the 24-12 Mejzlik, but the 25-12 AM would be a better prop for the 102 Evo engine.
