bme102

i just purchased a bme 102 but i got the spinner backplate on the prop on the alum. prop washer on another washer and the bolt to tighten all down but there is no room on the shaft to put a double nut on any suggestions.

RE: bme102

The threaded rod you have your prop nut on is extendable. It is just a piece of rod with a lathe dimple at one end and hex key insert at the other. It is probably lock tightened in place, so double nut it and back it out to desired length. It is best to verify that you will still have a min. of say 1/2" still threaded in the main ,than lock tight it in place again.
Good luck, Bill

Yes,and any good thread locker will do ,you just want it to stay where you put it. If it comes loose so will your prop.

RE: bme102

Would it be better to remove the rod and install a bolt?
Just a thought, and with my spinner (CF) may be easier!
