Wet ignition module

I was out this evening, testrunning my new DA100.
We were interrupted by a local rainshower, during which the engine and ignition module got wet.
Afterwards tha DA wouldn't start, and the ignition module was emitting a high pitched tone.

Can the iginition module be damaged ????

RE: Wet ignition module

It can be damaged, remember that there is 25,000v running around inside. HV and water don't mix well.
Try a long soak in alcohol and then let it sit in the sun for a few hours

RE: Wet ignition module

I had an RCS ignition modual emit a high pitch sound new out of the box. It did'nt work or generate a spark. ad to send it back for a replacement. Sounds like the same with you. You should send it in and have them look at it.
