Which engine?
 

Guy's which engine would you recommend for a TF GS P51? I'm looking for an engine that is gas and will not force me to butcher the cowl. I currently have a Hanger 9 P 51 1.50 which has an RCS 180 in it I only had to do minor mods to the cowl (one other thing all my props are drilled for the 6 bolt prop hub I would like to keep using what I have.

Several choices. BME, DA, 3W, Brison, Taurus, Fox, ZDZ, all in the 50cc class. Check Zenoah as well for dimensions. If a 62 will go, and if it will suit your needs in later aircraft, the weight would be beneficial.

Thanks for the info but I already figured out that there are many choices in engines. What I wanted was a recommendation from a current builders of the TF P51 on engine they are using.

The front end is small, so a G62 is large alternative. Also the plane likes a lightweight engine as it is nose heavy anyway. The DA 50 is a great fit. Even with it you will have to locate the battery packs well behind the CG.

If you can wait, there is the Revoluation that Brison is just starting to sell.
It fits in the cowl with no holes and even has a custom muffler for it.

What can you tell me about the revolution engine the brison web site has nothing. Does it use a single bolt for the prop or a 6 bolt hub?

Give the Kangke site a look. I can't give you the reason why, but you may find quite a bit on info there. If not, give Brison R/C engines a call on Monday and speak with James. He will give you what he can, or put you in direct contact with Gary Allison at Brison. Base your calls on East Coast time, not Texas time.

I do know that the first run of the Revolution engines were released a little prematurely. They had a minor timing problem along with a couple of small parts fit issues. The next batch was held back to correct those items. The first of the new and well made corrected engines should be released shortly, if they haven't already.
