Inverted - Sagging - G-62 ... ??

Hi guys,

I have a G-62 with C&H ignition in a Lanier CAP 232, 80" wing...

The engine has about 20 flights on it and runs fine when the plane is upright... When inverted, the engine sags... a lot...?? I have no idea why??

I've redone the tank... that's not the problem...!!

Any thoughts would be appreciated....

Get some helpers...Start the engine, turn the plane upside down, see if it sags..If not you need to put a fitting on the carb cover and run a line through the firewall to keep air from blowing across the hole in the carb cover plate....Carbs don't care what position they're in, they operate the same either way..Only thing that can change it is air pressure changing on the diaphragm..the line into the fuselage keeps the air at atmospheric pressure, the way the carb is designed...:D

RALPH IS AWESOME!

I have learned so much about an otherwise confusing area of aero modeling from him.

Thank you Ralph for spending so much time answering questions.
