DA-50 Problem?
My DA 50 has ran great up until today. Has over two gallons through it but I am still running a 50:1 mix. Went to start it today and it started as normal but then when I advance the throttle only to about 1/4, it slowed and then quite.
Started it again and advanced it past the 1/4 and then it started to run extremely rough, surging basically and then quit. I was able to get it to do that twice but then it would not advance past idle. It then simply would not fire at all. It is getting plenty of fuel, I pulled the plug and some ran out and the plug was wet. All of the connections look to be fine and the battery is fully charged. I do have a battery that I can go direct with to bypass the switch to see if that is the case. Any thoughts on what this is. In lue of the switch it seems to be an ignition problem? |
RE: DA-50 Problem?
Doesn't sound like ignition. You may be running the wrong oil mix for the engine. Change plugs, then consider adjusting the mixture needles. Also check the fuel filter if you are running one.
The plug that the DA and 3W engines use are originally designed for Honda generators, so if you can find a dealer of Honda generators you will have found another plug source. |
