I am interested in a MVVS 35cc and no one near by sells them, I was just wondering what the quality of this engine is like, it seems very cheep when compared with ZDZ or similar. are they easy to start and tune?
Thanks for any input |

RE: MVVS 35cc quality
I have the MVVS 35cc gasser, and it's far from cheap !!, it's made as well as any motor I have seen and better than most,,, I get 7500 RPM with a Zinger 20/8 pro, that's is what some have posted for their ZDZ and Brison 40's,,, we stopped tuning at 7500 because the motor was still new, I have no idea if I can get any more RPM out of it, but for now I don't get any sagging in my straight-up climd-outs, I have it in a PA GeeBee Y (ARF) (this plane weighed 12 pounds 8oz with an OS 120 and 8oz of lead in the nose, I don't know what mine weighs),,, there are heavier and lighter motors in it's class, so for weight it's right in the midle, you will be happy with it's quality, is superb.

""it seems very cheep when compared with ZDZ or similar"" you couldn't have seen the MVVS 35 gasser up close, if you did I don't know why you would say that, IMO as far as it's quality I think the MVVS is a higher quality motor, they can't sell it for more money becaus it would be over priced for it's cc displacement, if your looking at the finish on the ZDZ all you need to do is glass-bead the MVVS.

RE: MVVS 35cc quality
In australia at the moment the ZDZ 40 is retailing for around $900 plus muffler and the 35 mvvs is selling for around $700 with muffler. and i have never seen one up close
