I have a Mac Minarelli 70 twin, and I am looking for a starter, should I get Sullivan dynatron? ANY COMMENTS will be appreciated regarding My Engine ... THANKS

The dynatron is good for up to 40cc. It won't turn over my ZDZ 40, but will turn over my FPE 2.4...go figure. You either need a miller r/c gear reduction unit or a Sullivan Megatron.

The Dynatron on 24volts spins my G38 like there was no piston in it .. :p ,,,,,,,,, just cranks it right up.

I use a Dynatron with 24 volts (4 - 6 volt gel cells) and it will spin a G-62 with no problem.

Yeah, on 24 volts these things are powerfull. They are bigger than some of the starters on some small cars. :p

I used mine on 24 volts as well....yes, it will sping a larger engine, HOWEVER, it will also burn up faster......trust me......

I use one on 24 volts w/ a Miller reduction unit. It works great. You can GREATLY extend the life of the starter by only using it for 4 or 5 seconds at a time and then letting it cool for a minute or two. Spinning it for 20-30 seconds at a time with only a few seconds in between will burn up the motor VERY quickly.

If you're flying the big twins (or anything 40cc or bigger), I'd seriously look at the Model 4.

I have one. I got it because the first guy I met at my new club had nine fingers and three hundred stitches in what was left, courtesy of a DA 100.

It simply rocks. The nine finger guy has used it on his DA 100, I start my US 41 "like it has no piston". It has a cup well designed by Miller RC to grip 'any' size hub or spinner. (reversible)

I run 24 volts, from two 535 amp car batteries. I can let everyone use it and not have juice issues. I rewired it with a pair of jumper cables and terminal clamps. I just leave it in a pilot box, and whoever needs it can fly out of that box.

It cost me three hundred bucks as pictured. Batteries are cheaper big than small!. Heavy but lots of juice, and just set it up and leave it for the day. Sure, hook up that charger, too. No problem.

I got a Dynatron with a miller reduction drive shortly after my 5.8 grabbed my hand and smacked it something fierce. It snapped my ring finger on my right hand and just plain hurt the rest of it. This set up spins my 5.8 like its a little 40 and that is on 12 volts. I also use it on my ZDZ 80 Twin when I am lazy. Go with the Dynatron and miller you will not regret and either will your fingers.
