Engine Question!

Well i have a G-62 here that seems had a smoke system attached to it at some time. The crankcase has been tapped and a connectior for pressure line i would imagine for the pump to work. Is there anyway of plugging that up since i do not want to use a smoke system?

RE: Engine Question!

A short piece of fuel line with a bolt in the end of the hose. Not pretty but it works fine.

The crankcase doesnt put out enough pressure to shoot the bolt out ? :D

Take the fitting out and screw a bolt of the same size in the hole. You may want to put some red atv silicone around threads before you put it in.

Thanks

RE: Engine Question!

If the case is tapped just under the exhaust the thread is most likely a 1/4-28...You can get a SHORT bolt at the hardware store, use the washer from a glow plug, and stop up the hole...[8D]
Pressure in the crankcase is no more than 5 or 6 lbs, and is intermittent...Not nearly enough to dislodge anything....

RE: Engine Question!

Since TKG makes ignitions, and RCIGN makes or modifies the whole darn engine if needed, their advice always works out just fine.

RE: Engine Question!

Awsome . Thanks for the help guys. I found a bolt at the store to fit it and it's secured and works. Ran it on the bench.
