Remote on/off Switch for GAS Engine
Hi everyone,
I am very new in this hobby and many people saying that I need to think about safety first so now i'm starting with the safety part. What kind of kill switch should I buy for my 26CC Pull Start Gas Engine and this engine does not run with battery ignition. Please give me the link and name of the switch that you recommend. Pictures of how to set it up will be nice. Thank you all, Victor |

RE: Remote on/off Switch for GAS Engine
I looked at these switches at one time also but after some research and thought it seems connecting the radio to the engine in this way goes against everthing I've read about ignition engines and proximity to radio gear. I'm really interested to hear what others have to say about these.
I would think a good switch would be the Zenoah kill switch sold by Horizon which is really nothing more than a toggle switch which when thrown, grounds the ignition current on mag ignition engines. Radio Shack sells toggle switches for much less than the $7 Horizon wants http://www.horizonhobby.com/Shop/ByC...rodID=ZEN20000 |

Almost all manufacturers of industrial equipment simply ground the magneto.
I use a simple switch to ground the magneto and then mount the servo several feet away and use nyrod. The engine kill is very positive even at high RPM. A runaway gas engine is usually very bad news. Bill |
