3W 75 QS

Does anyone know if there is a substancial power increase from the regular 3W 75 to the QS 75 single cylinder engines, like there is the twins.I would like to put one of these in a CA Model Pitts Stinker.

Thanks Jack

I think with any of the QS engines, there is not a substantial power increase, maybe 100-200 more rpm. They are smoother though. If you want more power, go with a zdz 80, but I bet even a 3w 75 will overpower the ca pitts.

I have a standard 3W75us in a Lanier Edge. I would venture to say if you are under 23# the 75 is going to pull it like a freight train. Really super engine. Mine is very reliable and runs as well as any engine made from idle to top end.

Thanks BigNed,that's what I was looking for.Marcelo flies the Pitts in the video with a 3W 75i and it floats around the sky,of course at the end of his finger tips.
