Gas Ignition Problem

I have a BME 44 that I'm having a slight problem with. The cowl has rubbed a hole into the plug wire, and now I think that I'm getting radio interferrence from this. Is there a safe way to fix this, or do I need to replace the ignition box? It has the C & H ignition on it. I've used electrical tape, but I still seem to be getting a little interferrence. Any suggestions? Thanks!

RE: Gas Ignition Problem

Send the unit into C&H and have them to test it and replace the wires.
I had mine done and it cost about $35 per wire.

RE: Gas Ignition Problem

I would ground it to the engine jug only and not the mount.
It should be as close to the plug as possible
