Points Ignition to CDI

Hello all,

To change a Quadra 42 from points ignition to a newer CDI type, can I just remove the points and switch to a CDI unit?

Is there any difference in the flywheel for the two ignition types?

I have used a G38 magneto coil on a points Quadra...The points work very well when right...

Are you using the same flywheel you did with the points ignition?
