Kill switch installation

Hi,
First gasser. Q35 in a Citabria. How should a "kill switch" be wired? I'm assuming you run a wire to a standard on/off switch from the magneto and another wire from the switch to ground. Is this correct?

Yes, all you need to do is ground the magneto!!

On my G38 i have a small micro switch next to the throttle servo with a wire from the mag and one wire back to the engine crankcase. So when I press the throttle cut swith on the Tx the back side of the arm make the micro and completes to circuit and the engine stops.

not safe enough!!!!!
u need 2 SW!!!
paralell to each other.
one is the KILL sw - a micro one that is in line with the TH and the other a is a normal one!
both cut the G of the magneto so the plug wont get sparked!!!

safety first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's right. There should be a separate wire from the coil (besides the spark plug lead). Use an SPST switch. Connect one side to this wire, and the other to the engine case. When the switch is closed, this will ground the primary side of the coil, preventing the engine from starting.
