DA100..

Well over the last few years Ive heard the DA guys go on and on about their motors.
Ive owned ZDZs, Mvvs, Zenoah and Brisons and still do plus some weedwacker/chainsaws.

I recently got a new DA100 and I have to say that it has to be the easiest starting and running motor Ive seen. I still havent touched the needles from out the box .....yeah baby!!!!!!!:D:D:)

Well you should adjust those needles to get the most out of the engine and your fuel mix, but yeah they are good engines.

I don't know much but ...........

I know my DA100 will bark on the 3rd flip choked,
I know my DA100 will start on the 4th flip with the choke open,
I know it will run flawlessly every time and
I know it will deliver massive power on demand at any attidude or in any manuever tank after tank, time after time.

It is such a fine, powerfull engine that I almost take it for granted. :D

I started and ran mine for the first time last sunday and all I can say is this is going to be a really fun experience!~). The DA100 was so easy to start and tune and within a few minutes I had no doubt I would be fine flying it. The stock compact mufflers are a bit loud but sound awesome.

Its probably going to need a 1/8 in but with unlimited vertical at just over 1/2 throttle and flying around at 1/4 Im in no hurry.
I promised myself I was not going to be underpowered this time!!!! ( Its on a H9 Extra) 6600 with an NX 27/10 and 6000 with an Msc 27/10.

Im currently flying 2 DA's and 2- 3W's. Whats the big deal with DA? I also have a great running G62 that I truely love, its never let me down, as dependable as any DA. In fact, I have had some great running Quadra's, imagine that? Ive been monkey'ing with a BME or two also. Oh my god....Uh excuse me, I miscounted 3-3W's. Man, Dont let me forget I do have another DA100 in the cabinet for a rainy day. Maybe I can tell you how great it is, when it gets a ride[8D] Please let me tell you about the Taurus 3.2 on the test stand we just fired. Started in 3 flips. Smoother that a DA 50. Great engine, I love it. Give me a gas motor and Im a happy camper...DA? whats up

RE: DA100..

At the risk of being flamed, here's my honest opinion.

I run both a DA50R and ZDZ60. The ZdZ is a bit more difficult on the initial start each day, but once warm starts first flip. The DA Starts better from cold, but then once warm will start first or second flip.

Of the two engines the DA was the only one to deadstick once during breakin!!, but was probably down to me not having the needles set right (out of the box settings)

Both are good engines, i would not say one was better than the other..........
